The Thermoptim demo version is the only one available for download.

Note that the Windows version has been much more tested than the others,  that the Linux version has only been tested under Ubuntu, and that running the Mac version may be blocked by some recent Apple operating systems. We have developed a solution to address this. It consists of running Thermoptim from the Eclipse development environment.

This page tells you how to install Eclipse and launch Thermoptim on a Mac. For the installation of the browser, specific indications are given below.

The French versions can be directly downloaded by displaying this page in French.

Version 2.52 continues to be released, but we recommend that you use version 2.82, unless, for pedagogical reasons, you prefer not to display the menus corresponding to the advanced features of Thermoptim.

Linux

This version, which includes all the features of 2.52, allows you to carry out studies of technological sizing and operation in off-design regime as well as to calculate exergy balances. This is the one that is used in the guided explorations of Thermoptim's advanced features.

The Thermoptim browser contains all the guided explorations, including those related to the advanced features of the software package.

Caution: This browser uses a specific library, called JavFX, which is only available in the Java 8 environment distributed by Oracle.

For Windows, you can download it from this address. To open the Thermoptim browser, double-click NavThopt.jar or NavThopt.bat in the main installation directory. The browser opens a specific window and launches Thermoptim.

For Mac, follow the instructions given in this page, and for Linux Ubuntu, those of this one.

This version includes the project and diagram files for all guided explorations, as well as the corresponding catalog of examples.
